HIMALAYAN REGION & NORTHERN INDIA WILL SOON WITNESS TREMORS,VIGILANCE NEEDED

HIMALAYAN REGION & NORTHERN INDIA WILL SOON WITNESS TREMORS,VIGILANCE NEEDED

India has been saved by God’s grace from any damage from the earth quake of Tuesday. Surprisingly the scientists of the country have chosen to keep silent and not spoken on the imminent danger of another aftershock that is likely to emanate from the resettlement. The recent tremor in the region of Java should not be overlooked.

Above all the massive snowfall specially in the northern Himalayas and west Asia and Russia can not be overlooked and an overall view of the current situation and precession of earth makes the situation compounded. It is going to have its immediate effect. The degree and magnitude needs to be evaluated by developing suitable mathematical models which this country lacks. No research is being done in these area as they are not so productive and do not fall in any category of priorities of the Government of India for which is the focus lies in information technology, computer programming and games. The attention towards the basic sciences has been totally diverted and the studies have been left on the mercy of God which will prove soon very detrimental. All care needs to be given to such studies which can forewarn and suggest remedial steps which is the need of the hour. Hence this alert for the Govt of India and Himachal Pradesh.

Petrol price rise in India

Inefficiency of Petroleum Refineries is sole cause of Petrol hike

Within a very short period twice the prices of petrol has been increased! This has become a trend of this fuel sector which is every time focusing on petrol only in the garb of crude price variances. Such price rise can be justified only if the prices of the other petroleum products including aviation fuel, naphtha, gas, toluene ,benzene, diesel, kerosene pitch ,heavy oil,wax etc are also simultaneously revised. What is the rationale of increasing or choosing only PETROL?

It appears that there is some other motive behind such price rise because it is no way linked to the production and yield capacity of the crude.

If the motive of the companies is to discourage the use and utilization of petrol as fuel ,some other thought needs to be given. If it is that the fraction of petrol is less in the distillation, it is a cause of worry and concern for which a high power scientific commission be appointed including persons working in the field of fuel saving, energy resources, catalysts etc to analyse the situation threadbare and find out a way . It is a very serious matter as it directly means that either the process adopted is improper or refineries are not working at proper rated efficiencies due to which the yield of petrol is less and to compensate for the petroleum products’ every time petrol is picked. The efficiency of the refineries are to be audited by the government. People should raise this question before the public representatives who are mostly ignorant of these factors .Present affairs of increasing the prices by the companies are nothing but a way to divert the attention of the Govt from the inefficiency of the refineries and its administration.

It is high time that if pre budget hike in petroleum prices are manipulated in such an arbitrary manner, it will lead to chaotic situation during the budget and after the budget. Because the pace at which the price of petrol is being increased, the price may reach very soon within a couple of fortnights to Rs.1.00 or more. At such a juncture the working of these organizations needs to be brought under the scanner because out right it hints towards some malady in the industry which appears to be emanating from the bad quality of crude being purchased and improper recoveries. It is surprising why scientists are silent? Either they do not know the petroleum refining and the processes or they are too timid to raise the issues of public interest which is highly condemnable.

If the Govt believes in transparency it should publish complete detail of the yield of the crude , product wise and product wise costing as well as the losses the refineries are likely to suffer and ways to compensate with equitable distribution of the price rise in the process of recovery including purchase price of the crude. Adhocism in price rise needs to be objected. Statistical weighting of the pricing appears necessary. It is also necessary to go for cheap and better quality crude form the open world market in order to stabilize the prices otherwise it will lead to total chaos. It is a bad omen.

I have carried out experiments to prove that around 25-30 % alcohol can be used for blending in petrol to contain the price rise but it is surprising that despite the fact that media highlighted the results of my public demonstrations of the experiment, the Govt has feigned ignorance and has partially allowed a blend of 5% and has preferred a price hike of the petrol.

I would like to draw the attention of the Petroleum Ministry towards the fact that why can not the Govt consider conversion of gas into petrol to come out of the muddle at least for some time till a suitable solution is found, specially when the country is facing a difficult time due to uncontrolled prices of all the commodities.

Naming a company East India Company jolt to India

Naming a company East India Company

News is in circulation that some company known as East India Company has been launched in England on the eve of INDIAN independence DAY. Those who have done it know it well that it was East India Company which through its immoral acts ruined India. In removing this company from Indian soil millions of people died and country suffered immensely. Launching a company in the name of this company and that too the coinciding the timing midnight of 14th August when the India was granted independence shows that it an effort to irritate and put salt on the burns of self respecting Indians. How could such an assault was dared, needs to be looked into by Indian Authorities and its motives be found out.

HIGH ALERT NEEDED ! LEH MAY REPEAT

HIGH ALERT NEEDED ! LEH MAY REPEAT

INDIAN GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE ON HIGH ALERT,LEH TYPE ACCIDENT MAY REPEAT SOON

The event of complete washout in Leh has a message. Its first message is addressed to the Indian Scientific community. It is asking one big question as to what caused the rains in Leh. As per records and as per the geographic conditions there can not be a rain in Leh. Normally diffuse clouds reach this region and gradually freeze themselves to snow. This is an area where only snow falls. It is due to this that a different type of culture and cult developed in the area. As much as the Himalaya is concerned,it is well known that it is a sedimentary structure therefore can not hold big structures and the land will be unstable. If at all the people of the region prefer to be counted and listed among the Europeans and decide to earn and live by American style and European way of tourism ,forgetting thousands year old established way of life, perhaps the fate will be the same as it has happened today. In short , I would like to say that the people of the area have given a challenge to the NATURE which has only recoiled. This will be explained below.
The second question is an open challenge to the scientific capability of the Indian Scientists. It is an open challenge to their ability to foresee and plan the disasters likely to ARISE DUE TO RAPIDLY CHANGING HABITS AND MEDDLING WITH THE NATURE which they have apparently failed to do which I did several years before but it was not taken note .
Before tendering a scientific explanation for what has been witnessed and also warning for what is in the wait,I want to relate my experience of trying to share scientific observations with the then Minister for Scienbce and Technology ,about five years back. I had goen to New Delhi where discussing the phenomenon of heat exchange and convection currents that is affecting the atmospheric behaviour resulting into the rapidly changing pattern of monsoon marked by deficient rains in the gangetic plains but simultaneous heavy rains and land slides accompanied by cloud bursts in heights, suggestion came to meet Mr.Kapil Sibbal who was then the Honourable Minister for Science and Technology for this country.
During my visit to Mr.Sibbal,I tried to give some reasons which could apparently explain the disturbed weather pattern and also made some suggestions to start deep studies in the field of ATMOSPHERIC CHEMISTRY AND Physics of CONDENSATION and HEAT BALANCE. The immediate response of Mr.Sibbal was that of a typical complacent government employee that scientists in the meteorology department and oceanography are at work and things are in control. With my background of research, where I welcome every comment and examine every aspect of failure, I never expected such a complacent reply from a responsible government dignitary and had to tell him in very clear terms that

" THE AREA OF INDO-GANGETIC PLAIN THAT IS AREA STARTING FROM WESTERN BENGAL,JHARKHAND,BIHAR,U.P, UP TO PUNJAB WILL CONTINUE TO BECOME DRY AND HIMALAYAN STATES WOULD CONTINUE GETTING POURING RAIN WHAT MAY BE CALLED CLOUD BURST LEADING TO MASSIVE LANDSLIDES AND FURTHER CHINA AND ADJOINING REGIONS WILL KEEP GETTING MORE PRECIPITATION DUE TO THE NON CONDENSATION OF CLOUDS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO PRECIPITATE IN THE NORTH OF DECCAN PLATEAU UP TO THE FOOT OF HIMALAYAS."

I warned him to be ready to witness FLOODS WITHOUT RAINS IN THE STATES OF U.P.,BIHAR ETC. which is no matter of surprise today.

I also told him in no unclear terms that this state of affairs will continue for many years to come. It is more than five years now that the situation remains the same. On my return to Varanasi, media persons met me and wanted to know my comments on the climatic vagaries which was the same as given to Mr.Sibbal which was published immediately by the media. The cuttings of the same is still with me and the truth of the story before the readers.

However,it is not my intention to create a scare but to simply interpret the atmospheric behaviour. The rise in the temperature of Himalayan region and that of the indo gangetic plains has created a total dis balance. The amount of precipitation that is due for the plains, on account of high temperature and adverse atmospheric chemistry is escaping the plains and heading towards himalayas and bringing sudden and rapid rains and rapid cloud movements. It is noteworthy that in Leh region people have reported of thunder and then rains. This is highly unfortunate. Leh is a place where clouds loose all momentum and start freezing so no thunder is possible.Yet such happenings need to be scientifically interpreted and way out to be searched so that people can survive. Unfortunately in this shirt note, not much analysis of the phenomenon is possible, but it suffices to say that what occurred has a very realistic scientific explanation and competent people can find out a way out.

Few words of caution is necessary that within a fortnight once again a stream of clouds will move and there is every possibility of a Leh repeat at many places in the upper Himalayas and Kashmir which needs people to be on guard and perhaps this would be a better disaster management compared to the prescriptions of the management guys of New Delhi.

cost of the book of murlitharan should be decided visa vis the cost of tendulakr' book

If Einstein were alive and dared to publish a book or likewise Dr.Manmohan Singh Indian Prime Minister or the celebrity of the country Mrs.Sonia Gandhi or for that matter the Nobel laureate Venky writes memoir or produces the collections of his journey to Nobel prize,it may hardly fetch few hundred rupees.
.If the American President writes a book it may cost few thousand rupees. But if Murlitharan, the cricketer of Shri.Lanka writes a book it must cost around a few corers which Mr.Murli does not know perhaps. It is with the purpose to inform him that it is being published.

I want to assure Mr.Murlitharan that he should not worry,he should immediately start writing a book and India would be the best market for it where people purchase books costing lakhs of rupees as it has happened in case of one Indian cricketer Mr.Tendulkar. India and Indians see a future for the country in cricket and they will gladly pay for the words of cricketers first hand.
Mr Murlitharan Huryup.

WHAT HAS GONE WRONG WITH THE COUNTRY

Starting from the east to west and from north to south across the Indian Sub continent a peculiar situation is existing. Public funds are being misused.Look upon Bihar and U.P. Who are doing so? These are the persons who have sought our trust. Trust is belied. The belied trust is leading to fighting, infighting and scuffles in parliament,in assemblies in every place. It needs to be examined as to what has gone wrong with the country? It is also to be seen that there is a spate of construction. Mostly road construction. Start from Delhi to a small town ,everywhere, you find construction companies at work. I have tried to question as to who is the person who gave the idea or proposal and how the justification came for the construction, there is no reply, there is no answer. It is difficult to trace the person who mooted the idea of construction. But the construction is in spate. Huge sums of money being spent. On the other hand, water level going down, states are fighting with each other on the issue of sharing of water. States are fighting with each other on the issue of mining. The problem of pollution is increasing day by day. Huge sums are being invested in waste management. But no where waste management is to be seen. Delhi is in deluge because it wanted to beautify Delhi. Could the games be not played without a new looking Delhi. If at all there was a need to give new look to Delhi the first thing should have been the removal of all the old faces that howl and cry in Delhi. Those who have miserably failed in controlling the growth of the country. This is a country which is selling and exporting its ores. This is a country which boasts of high technology and technological capability yet it never bothered to put in steel plants, smelters and develop metallurgical units. Instead we have chosen to sell our natural resource for pittance. This is a country which has chosen to make the public property like mining power etc PRIVATE PROPERTY.

Likewise in the field of education new Universities, deemed universities, central universities, state universities and a lot many educational machines and devices are being opened. On the other hand advertisements have started appearing with bold head lines "PEOPLE WITH DISTANCE EDUCATION DEGREES NEED NOT APPLY". Colleges are being given the status of autonomous colleges and yet there appears a need of foreign universities. The craze to visit foreign country and admission to foreign universities is so great that students are dying, maltreated and behaved like dogs ,yet they are not stopping . They have lost the pride. Person without pride has no life.

What about the standard of education? One gets surprised when Vice Chancellors,Directors and Principals of these institutions falter. They are unable to deliver a five minute fluent and meaningful speech. Only buildings by courtesy of Banks and donations from the students are coming up and they are hallmark of education. Poorly paid teachers, ill equipped laboratories, libraries without books and journals are the salient features. Students are being assured at the time of admission itself that only pay the fee and now you will get the required degree because the paper setting and examination etc every thing is to be done at the level of the Universities. No external evaluation. If at all there is some external evaluation, examiners are chosen only after they agree to the terms and conditions of the controller of examinations to pass every one . This is the status of education presently.

Yet AICTE and UGC do not fail to recognize. NAAC accreditation is the next step. No checks. No bars. All free. This is the vision of this country for education. Difficult for any sane person to comprehend. Yet there are takers to the idea of new introductions in education.Perhaps we need to stand, pause and think and then move. Too fast a motion is devastating. It is only a caution. Otherwise like train accident in west Bengal Sainthia where the speed of the train is said to be uncontrollable, the rail of the country will similarly collapse.

None talks about these aberrations which the government has. There is never a talk or debate to set right the myopic vision.Parliament never dares to take up such issues that are going to ruin the future. It may not be a long time before the states are at war for water, mining resources and sharing of natural resources. The center and the states are at logger heads and this does not auger well. Growing unemployment is no body's concern. Shameful plans of enhancing retirement age from 60 to 62 to 65 and now extending to 70 years of age are afoot while young men are roaming in streets and subject to exploitation . Let us pray to the almighty to save the country and bring peace at the earliest.
